After a brief day of packing and playing poke the pirate with my friends yesterday, I woke up at 7 in the morning ready to move my belongings into the car and start my next 4 hour slumber. Lucky for me I fell asleep about 30 minutes into the highway and woke up 10 minutes away from where i live in Ottawa. The place i live at takes about 2 minutes to reach off the highway, and seems like it’s located on the outskirts of the ottawa city, town, or watchamacallit (note to self, study the geography and try not to offend.) I share a room with my friend from waterloo, and I live with 2 other tenants in the apartment: the owner in the living room (blocked off with drapes), and a University of Ottawa (not sure if that is what it’s called) student whom occupies the other bedroom.
The bedroom itself is rather large, and can fit the both of us and our belongings comfortably. There are windows (with no blinds) lining 2 of the 4 walls and thus the room is hella bright during the daytime. But there are no ceiling lights, so its rather dim in the night. Since the room has so many windows, it’s kinda cold sitting close to them when on the computer in a t-shirt. We have our stash of foodstuffs in a corner, and my water boiler next to my bed. It’s pretty convenient to not have to walk down a flight of stairs jsut to grab a drink of some sort.
The sights i saw in Ottawa today are:
-Chinatown -Went to crappy dimsum restaurant
-Skating on the River – Looong river with alot of people on it
-Parts of the University of Ottawa -Maybe theres a gym i could use?
-Downtown – Stuff here and there
Pictures of the room (Warning: Holycrap they’re huge):
- Comfy beds
- Foodstash in our corner
- Computer table and my friend
I’ll explain more stuff as i remember/see them.
Ben
